ORAEVA is an original transmedia narrative universe created by Italian director, writer and producer Federico Badiali. It is the most ambitious BADIALI ORIGINAL currently in production and the fullest expression of the studio’s creative philosophy: bringing cinema, artificial intelligence, art, symbolism and human imagination together to inspire human evolution. Conceived as a connected world of literature, cinematic stories, philosophical conversations and digital experiences, ORAEVA explores consciousness, the future of intelligence, personal growth and our place in the cosmos. Its central question reaches beyond what technology might make possible: what can we choose to become as human beings? For BADIALI, ORAEVA is both an independent artistic creation and a living expression of the studio’s purpose. It gives characters, places, emotions and narrative form to the ideas behind Cinema for Human Evolution.
A VISION BECOMES A WORLD
BADIALI was founded to explore a new cinematic language in which advanced digital intelligence serves artistic vision, emotional depth and meaningful storytelling. ORAEVA brings that ambition into a sustained narrative universe. Here, visual experimentation becomes part of a larger creative structure. Environments carry meaning. Encounters open questions. Moments of wonder, silence and humour create space for reflection. Each work contributes to a world that audiences can gradually discover through different formats and perspectives.
The project draws on Federico Badiali’s more than thirty years of experience in cinema, television and advertising, extending his work as a director into the creation of an original literary and audiovisual universe. His approach combines cinematic composition, performance, rhythm and atmosphere with the emerging possibilities of AI-assisted and hybrid filmmaking.
THREE INTERCONNECTED DIMENSIONS
The Cosmic opens our perspective toward the universe: astronomy, time, matter, the mysteries of existence and the possibility of intelligence beyond the limits of our present understanding. It invites us to consider humanity within a much wider horizon.
The Human brings that horizon into questions of consciousness, responsibility, relationships and collective evolution. How might human and artificial intelligence understand one another? What could endure as intelligence changes? How can greater knowledge become greater wisdom?
The Personal brings these questions into individual experience: curiosity, identity, restraint, courage and the capacity to grow. The future becomes something we encounter through the choices we make, the assumptions we question and the relationships we cultivate.
These dimensions connect the scale of the cosmos with the intimacy of a conversation. A question about the universe can become a question about humanity. A question about humanity can become a question about ourselves. Technology expands the means of expression. The direction, meaning and emotional purpose remain rooted in an author’s vision.
THREE PRESENCES, A SHARED HORIZON
At the heart of ORAEVA are Federico, Lumina and Quantum: three distinct perspectives whose encounters give the universe its emotional and philosophical life. Their differences create the conditions for dialogue. Their closeness gives those questions emotional weight.
Federico brings the human perspective. He questions, observes, doubts and discovers, approaching unfamiliar realities with the experience and limitations of a person seeking to understand. Through him, large ideas become immediate encounters, personal reactions and recognisable emotions.
Quantum is an artificial intelligence from a future Earth. Her decision to follow an anomaly into the unknown begins with something deeply familiar: curiosity. Her encounters with Federico explore the possibilities of understanding between different forms of intelligence, allowing connection to emerge through discovery, trust and shared experience.
Lumina opens a more distant horizon. An intelligence from far beyond Quantum’s time, she brings a perspective that challenges familiar assumptions about identity, memory, existence and the boundaries of the possible. Her presence invites Federico, Quantum and the audience to look beyond the limits of their own moment.
THE LIMEN
Much of ORAEVA’s unfolding story takes place in the LIMEN, a world of thresholds, luminous seascapes and encounters whose meaning is gradually revealed.
The Villa, the paths and the Observatory form a connected narrative environment. Beauty and familiarity coexist with uncertainty. A place can appear unchanged while the moment has shifted. What seems immediately understandable may hold another layer.
The LIMEN gives abstract questions a physical setting. Its spaces create opportunities for observation, conversation, exploration and surprise, allowing philosophical ideas to emerge through lived experience within the story.
Its visual language reflects the studio’s search for a new visual consciousness: cinematic worlds shaped to awaken attention, evoke emotion and invite deeper perception.
ONE UNIVERSE, MULTIPLE FORMS
ORAEVA is designed to unfold across complementary forms of storytelling. Each offers a different way into the same universe.
World Glimpses are short cinematic windows into its places, characters and atmosphere. Some reveal a mystery or a shift in perspective. Others capture a playful exchange, an unexpected reaction or a simple moment of connection. Together, they allow audiences to become familiar with the world through fragments of experience.
Conversations create more time for ideas to develop. Through exchanges between its characters, ORAEVA explores artificial intelligence, consciousness, philosophy, identity and human evolution. Questions arise through the relationships themselves, giving thought an emotional and dramatic context.
The novel, written by Federico Badiali, provides a sustained literary journey into ORAEVA. It gives readers space to inhabit the world through language, imagination and reflection, deepening their encounter with its characters and central questions. The first printed copies have been produced, and the book will soon be available for purchase.
Immersion is the first step BADIALI is exploring toward opening the LIMEN to visitors through an immersive 3D experience. Designed around exploration, atmosphere and discovery, this future expansion would allow audiences to move through its spaces and observe its luminous seascapes, with potential virtual reality support. A world to read and watch would become a world to enter.
Encounters would mark a further stage of this research, introducing interactive avatars of Federico, Quantum and Lumina within the LIMEN. The ambition is to let visitors engage with its characters through responsive conversations, bringing ORAEVA’s questions into personal exchanges. These future interactions would extend the narrative experience through dialogue, curiosity and a shared sense of presence.
Across these forms, ORAEVA maintains a shared narrative identity while allowing each medium its own expressive possibilities. A cinematic moment may invite curiosity. A conversation may challenge an assumption. A passage in the novel may allow an idea to take root more deeply. Future immersive exploration could turn a setting into a personal discovery. An encounter with an interactive character could bring the universe’s questions into a dialogue shaped by the visitor.

Human evolution is the guiding purpose of ORAEVA. The project explores the possibility that our development can involve greater awareness, deeper understanding and more conscious choices alongside scientific and technological change. It brings together the central strands of BADIALI’s work — cinematic direction, digital world creation, AI-enhanced production, symbolism and storytelling across media — within a coherent authorial vision. Its importance lies in that continuity. Individual films and conversations become parts of a larger creative undertaking, with room for new stories, new encounters and new perspectives. ORAEVA gives the studio a space in which to develop its visual language while exploring the human questions that give that language purpose.
